The Leatt Body Protector 5.5 Pro HD provides protection through the use of hard shell that has been reinforced with soft areas of 3DF AirFit soft impact foam.

The hard shells are fabricated from a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) for high impact and stones. The foam is soft and flexible in natural state, but becomes hard and tough during the impact of a crash, to absorb energy. The body protector is specificly designed for youth riders and CE tested and certified for the chest, back and shoulders. The adjustable side panels provide possible lateral protection.

The 3D multi-layer, multi-plate articulating design provides a comfortable and good fit, while the recess areas on the back and front are used for integration with neck braces. The 3DF AirFit ventilated foam, as well as the 53 ventilation channels provide more than enough cooling. This combination of materials and techniques is good for 20 points in the Leatt protection system.
