Introduction
Data protection is based on trust and your trust is of great importance to us. We, therefore, comply with the privacy law. This means that your data is safe with us and we will always use your data properly. This privacy policy explains what we do with your personal data at MX DEALS. We would also like to emphasize on your rights regarding our use of your personal data.
In our processing, we comply with the requirements set by the current privacy legislation. That means that we:
- clearly mention for what purposes we process personal data. We expressly do this through this privacy policy;
- restrict the collection of personal data to only personal data which is necessary for legitimate purposes;
- first, ask for permission to process your personal data in cases when your consent is required;
- take appropriate security measures to protect your personal data and also require this from third parties which use your personal data on our orders;
- respect your right to look into, correct or delete personal data on your request.
MX-DEALS is the Responsible Authority for registering, processing and using your personal data within the meaning of the Privacy Protection Act. In this privacy policy, we explain which personal data we collect, use and for what purpose. We advise you to read it carefully and to notify us directly if you have any questions or remarks about it. The contact details for this can be found at the end of this statement.
The use of personal data
When using our website, you leave certain information with us. That may be personal data. Personal data is collected by us in various ways. For example, you can order products from our website, we then we ask you to provide us with some personal data to complete the order.
When using our website, we can process the following data (co-dependent on the data you enter yourself by for example placing an order, take part in contests or by creating an account)
We only keep and use the personal data that you provide in the context of the service you requested for or of which it is clear that it is provided to us to process.
We use the following data for the purposes mentioned in this privacy policy:
- First and last name
- E-mail address
- Address
- Phone number
- Technical data of the equipment you use (e.g. from your smartphone/laptop/tablet or a kiosk from the store), such as IP address, MAC address and the software used (e.g. Internet Explorer or Google Chrome)
- Your surfing actions on the website, such as mouse and click actions and the duration and time of your visit on our website
- Payment details
- Purchase history
- Login details of your account
Data for processing your order
If you order something, we need certain information from you in order to deliver your order and to keep you informed about your order. This data is also required for possible returns or repairs.
For this, we collect your name, e-mail address, delivery address(es), payment details and your telephone number.
The information is required to complete the agreement that you have concluded with us. Under the law, we must save the data related to your order for 7 years.
Data in your account
For certain parts of our webshop, you must first register. In that case, you have to provide information about yourself. Doing this you create a personal account, on which you can log in with your email address and a self-chosen password.
We save the following information in your personal account: your name, address, city telephone number, e-mail address and date of birth (if you have specified this). In your account, we also save your order history, transactions and newsletter preference.
With your personal account, you can access a management environment where you can set, specify and change data yourself. You can do this by simply logging in.
It is our promise to make our customers' lives easier and more fun. That is why we save the data in your account as long as you are an active customer with us. If you have not logged in with us for 7 years, we will delete all your data. Furthermore, you can at any time make a request to delete your data by sending us an email.
Information about your contact with customer service
You can 24/7 contact our customer service. You can call, e-mail, chat or send a message by social media, such as Facebook and Instagram.
For this, we use in some cases your name, address, city, e-mail address and IP address. We have a legitimate interest in this.
This way we can help you quicker by saving your data. We keep the notes about the customer contact as long as you are an active customer with us. This way we can easily access the information in subsequent questions. We can also train our customer service to be even better.
When you send us a message by Instagram or Facebook, the messages are saved up to 1 year by us, or shorter if you delete the message yourself.
Data for an optimal shopping experience
There are thousands of products in our store. We would, therefore, like to help you to find the items you are looking for.
First of all, we ensure that our website works well so that you can optimally shop. For this, when you visit our website, we collect your IP address, information about your internet browser, any language settings and information about the settings of the operating system of the computer or the mobile device with which you visit us. This data is not saved and used only during your website visit.
Data for marketing
Newsletters
You can subscribe to our newsletter. Here you can read about the latest products, discounts, offers, (Facebook) promotions and the latest motocross news. You can withdraw this subscription at any time. Each newsletter contains an unsubscribe link (opt-out). Also, you can unsubscribe to newsletters at any time in your account.
By means of your registration, you give us permission to send you our newsletters and add you to the list of subscribers.
When you choose to unsubscribe your data will be deleted at the latest after 3 months
Data for contests and promotions
When you enter a promotion or contest, we ask you for information such as your name, address and/or email address. We need these to be able to carry out the action and to announce the prize winner(s).
We collect this information with your consent. In the conditions of the contest or action, you can exactly find what your data is used for and how long we save it.
Data to prevent fraud
Nobody wants security incidents and fraud, neither do we. That is why we use personal data (including IP addresses and search, surfing and shopping actions) to investigate and prevent unauthorized access and fraud.
Publication
We never publish your personal data, nor transfer it to other commercial parties for publication.
Provision to third parties
Sometimes it is necessary to share your data with our trusted partners. In that case, these partners are always involved in the execution of the agreement and under no circumstances may they use data for other purposes other than that. A secure processing of your data is guaranteed by a data processing agreement between MX DEALS and its business partners.
Logistical partners
To be able to ship your order, we work together with various logistics partners, such as UPS, PostNL, and DHL. Our logistic partners will receive your name and delivery address from us. They need this information to deliver your package to your chosen address.
Other external service providers
We also cooperate with other external service providers to help for different reasons. Sometimes they also need personal data. We only share the data that is necessary for the task that the external service provider executes for us. We do not sell your data to these service providers or other third parties. We conclude data processing agreements with all external service providers in which we agree on what they can do with the data.
The type of tasks that our external service providers carry out for us are:
- assisting in the delivery of our digital services such as hosting, maintenance and support of our websites and applications;
- customer support;
- supporting advertising and marketing campaigns;
- supporting customer research and obtaining ratings- and reviews;
- providing financial services such as payment, collection agencies and credit reporting agencies.
Social media
On our website, we use social media buttons. These make it easy for you to view our MX- DEALS pages on various social media platforms such as Facebook and YouTube. These buttons only provide a link to the MX-DEALS page of the social media platform and do not pass on personal data to third parties.
Government
Sometimes we have to pass on personal data to the government. This may occur first of all if certain government institutions need this information for the execution of their duties, such as the tax authorities. The police or judicial authorities may also need certain information in the event of fraud or abuse. Finally, certain supervisors can have access to personal data in the context of an investigation.
Only at your request: with other companies
If you want, we can also provide your personal information to other companies when, for example, one of our commercial partners has a special deal for customers of MX DEALS. We only do this with your explicit permission.

Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to keep track of how visitors use our website. We have signed a Data Processing Agreement with Google to strictly set agreements about using our data. Furthermore, we have not allowed Google to use the obtained Analytics information for other Google services, and finally, we anonymize the IP addresses.

Retention periods
Under the heading “The use of personal data” retention periods from various applications are stated. In general, we do not strive to keep your personal information unnecessarily long. We stay true to legal obligations relating to retention periods (such as the tax retention).
Security of personal data
We take the protection of your data very seriously and take appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. If you feel that your data is not secure or there is evidence of abuse, please contact info@mx-deals.nl.
We have taken the following measures to protect your personal data:
- Servers and devices of our employees are equipped with current security software, such as a virus scanner and firewall.
- We only send your data via secure internet connections (TLS, formerly SSL). You can see this at the address bar 'https' and the padlock.
- Access to personal data from mobile devices is restricted and actively monitored.
- All employees of MX-DEALS who have access to personal data are instructed in carefully handling your data.
- DKIM and SPF are Internet standards that we use to prevent you from receiving e-mails containing viruses, spam or intended to obtain personal (login) data on our behalf.

Rights regarding personal data
Right on transparent information
You have the right to an understandable and transparent explanation of how we use your personal data and which rights you have in that respect. In this privacy policy, we have extensively explained what data we collect from you and how we handle your data. Right of access by the data subject

You have the right to request restriction of the processing of your data. This means that we may save your data but not use it. This right arises in a number of cases. If you believe that this is the case, you can contact us via our customer service by telephone or email.
Right to be forgotten / request to delete account
You have the right to request that we remove all information which we have from you. When you submit a request to delete your account, we will delete data that is traceable to you except for the data that we have to save on the principles of the law. Right to file a complaint
You have the right to file a complaint about how we handle your data. If you have a complaint, we try to fix it ourselves with you. Please contact our customer service by telephone or email.
Under the privacy legislation, you also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority against the processing of personal data. You can contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority for this.
Request for further identification when executing the above rights
In some cases, we ask you to send a copy of your ID with your request. Make sure you’re your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and citizen service number (BSN) are black in this copy. This is to protect your privacy. We respond to your request as soon as possible, within four weeks the least.
Changes to this privacy policy
When our web store changes, we must of course also adjust our privacy policy. Always pay attention to the date below and check regularly for new versions. We will do our best to announce changes.
