Bell Moto-9S Flex motocross helmet is one of the most unique motocross helmets of its kind. The helmet has a modern design but also offers a lot of safety. The Moto-9S Flex is made of Carbon Fiber and comes with a revolutionary technique called "Progressive Layering Technology". These Bell motocross helmets are made of three different layers. Each layer has a different density and has its own task. This is to optimally manage and absorb the energy of the impact. The different densities of the layers also ensure that after wearing, the MX helmet will shape to the head for optimum comfort. The "Progressive Layering Technology" also consists of a so-called "slip zone" between layer 1 and layer 2. This "slip zone" reduces friction during a crash and absorbs the rotational energy. By building the motocross helmet in different layers Bell has been able to improve their "Velocity Flow Ventilation" system to guarantee even more cooling.

• Composite shell
The carbon fiber exterior makes the Bell Moto-9S Flex a light yet very strong helmet. This in combination with the "Progressive Layering Technology" offers optimum energy management during impact.

• Middle layer (EPO)
The middle layer consists of the lowest density called Expanded Polyolefin. This layer has been developed to absorb the impact by low speed (3m/s).

• Inner layer (EPP)
The inner layer consists of the middle density called Expanded Polypropylene. This layer cooperates with the middle layer and has been developed to absorb the impact by average speed (5m/s).

• Outer layer (EPS)
The outer layer consists of the highest density called Expanded Polystyrene. This layer cooperates with the inner and middle layers and has been developed to absorb the impact by high speed (7.75m/s).
