Ball-and-socket design

Bell's new ventilation system draws in cool air like a vacuum through the front, while the warm air is expelled through the rear ventilation ports. The system cools so well that Bell called it the Thermal Exchange Airflow System™.

Bell has gone beyond just protecting the head. It was noticed that many riders broke a collarbone and as a result were out for several races, even without a crash! Investigations showed that in some cases the cause was the helmet.
Bell immediately started thinking in solutions. Davi Millsaps used to ride with a foam rim around his helmet to prevent injuries, but this was not an option. That's why Bell has created a soft "bumper" edge on the lower sides of the MX helmet. These "bumpers" are provided with a soft EPP material which should prevent the helmet from causing a fracture upon impact on the collarbone. This way you will no longer have to miss races due to a broken collarbone. There you go, no missed races!

The Virus CoolJade™ Inner Lining is removable and washable. Thanks to the addition of recycled jade, a natural cooling effect is achieved. Magnefusion™ Magnetic Cheek Pads
The cheek pads have a magnetic attachment. This makes the cheek pads easy to remove in an emergency by medical personnel.
